Team Building Event Oculus Optikgeräte GmbH
As a CityHunters team guide, I had the pleasure on September 4, 2024 of leading an iPad Tour for 41 employees of Oculus Optikgeräte GmbH in Giessen. We met punctually at Kreuzplatz at 10:00, where I welcomed everyone and gave a brief introduction to the iPads and the CityHunters app. After a short explanation we split into seven teams and the adventure began.
Our iPad Tour playfully combined technology and local history: the app guided the teams to well-known spots in Giessen and offered interactive puzzles and motivating team tasks. Whether exploring the Mathematikum, admiring the university buildings or strolling through the Botanical Garden, brains and team spirit were needed everywhere. The teams worked independently, solving puzzles, taking photos and discussing with great enthusiasm.
During the roughly three-hour tour I stayed available by phone in case any questions or technical issues came up. In most cases the groups solved the challenges with their own creative ideas. The CityHunters app showed the scores along the way and created a spirited competition that boosted cohesion and produced plenty of laughter and aha moments. This is what a team building experience in Giessen is all about.
The weather played along — pleasant and mild, perfect for exploring the city. Many groups used the opportunity to get to know each other better and discover new strengths in their teams. That is exactly what makes a good team building event: shared challenges that bring people together and memories that last. A team building experience in Giessen can be ideally combined with culture, puzzles and fresh air.
After three hours we gathered again at Kreuzplatz for the awards ceremony. The atmosphere was jubilant when the winning team Ocolus 2 was announced with 130 points. Congratulations to the winners and a big thank you to all participants for their great commitment and positive spirit.
