Team Building Event Jenoptik AG
Perfect late-summer weather accompanied our Geocaching tour through Erfurt and put everyone in a good mood from the start.
As the team guide for CityHunters I welcomed 33 participants from Jenoptik AG at the Kreuzgasse meeting point on August 21, 2024 at 2:30 PM. After a short introduction and splitting into six teams, each group received their tasks and the necessary clues for the tour — then the exciting race through the city began.
Our Geocaching Scavenger Hunt offered just the right mix of challenge and discovery that makes a team building experience in Erfurt so special. The teams explored historic corners and well-known sights such as Erfurt Cathedral, the Krämerbrücke and the Augustinian Monastery, solved puzzles and tackled creative team tasks. Points were awarded for correctly completed tasks and effective collaboration.
During the tour the groups were largely on their own and competed in a friendly rivalry. As team guide I was reachable by phone and supported them with minor questions — responsibility and the shared problem-solving stayed clearly in the foreground. This is how a genuine team building experience in Erfurt is created: through shared moments, clear communication and pulling together when it matters.
After exactly two hours all teams met again at the starting point Kreuzgasse for the awards ceremony. The tension was high, and the joy even greater: first place went to team Erfordia Helau with an impressive 270 points. In second place came TheRunners with 210 points, closely followed by Bernd das Brot in third, also with 210 points.
For me as a guide it was once again a wonderful experience to see how Geocaching strengthens team spirit while bringing the many facets of Erfurt to life. The team building experience in Erfurt proves to be an entertaining, active and sustainable form of shared learning. I look forward to the next groups who want to discover this city and its stories with us.
