Team Building Event Ferienpark Daun GmbH & Co. KG
Eleven colleagues from Ferienpark Daun GmbH & Co. KG met on August 6, 2024 at 12:00 PM on Leopoldstraße in Daun, eager for our shared Geocaching adventure.
As team guide I welcomed the group, gave a brief introduction and split everyone into two motivated teams. After a short rundown of the format and the tech — tablets and the CityHunters app — the teams set off on their tour around town. The basics were clear: solve puzzles, complete team tasks and collect as many points as possible.
Over the next three hours the teams were on their own, engaging in a friendly competition. I remained reachable by phone in case of questions or technical issues. The challenges took the groups to several beautiful spots in Daun, including the Daun Volcano Museum, Daun Castle and the Daun Viaduct, offering plenty of opportunities for collaborative solutions and creative approaches. This team experience especially showed how much fun a team building experience in Daun can be.
The weather cooperated, the mood was upbeat and colleagues supported one another — sometimes loudly, sometimes working quietly in the background. The mix of puzzles, navigation and small team tasks produced many aha moments and hearty laughter. As the guide it was rewarding to watch trust grow quickly and genuine collaboration emerge: exactly what makes a team building experience in Daun so valuable.
After three hours everyone met back on Leopoldstraße for the awards ceremony. The winning team Dauni Azubis took first place with 345 points, closely followed by Team Grafenwald with 255 points. Alongside the winner celebration the special contributions of the other teams were also recognized — everyone had played a part in the day's success.
