Team Building Event Zahnarztpraxis Dr. Dornauer & Kollegen
Our event concept combines modern technology with playful city exploration, providing an ideal foundation for a team building experience in Erlangen.
As a team guide for CityHunters I had the pleasure of welcoming the group from the dental practice Dr. Dornauer & Colleagues on 12 July 2024 at 10:30. The meeting point was Hugenottenplatz, where all 14 participants briefly got to know one another and I explained the rules. After a short introduction to the iPads and the CityHunters app, the participants were split into three teams and the adventure began.
The teams, on their own and full of enthusiasm, roamed Erlangen’s city center, discovering historic corners and modern highlights while solving puzzles and joint team tasks. It wasn’t just about speed, but about communication, creativity and team spirit. Along the way they passed stations by landmarks such as Friedrich‑Alexander University Erlangen‑Nuremberg, the Botanical Garden Erlangen and the Hugenottenkirche, blending culture, history and play.
During the tour I was reachable by phone to help with technical questions or uncertainties. The CityHunters app displayed live scores, which added extra excitement to the friendly competition. The weather cooperated, keeping the mood lively and cheerful — just the right mix for a successful team building experience in Erlangen.
After exactly three hours all teams met back at Hugenottenplatz for the awards ceremony. The final scores put big smiles on everyone’s faces: the winner was the team DOC-Fight with 180 points, closely followed by Women on fire with 165 points. In third place was Gryffindor with 145 points. All participants benefited from the shared sense of achievement and demonstrated how much fun a team building experience in Erlangen can be.
As a guide it was once again rewarding to see how an iPad Tour strengthens team spirit, sparks conversation and makes the city come alive from new perspectives.
