Team Building Event ZWP Ingenieur AG
Bochum proved to be the perfect setting for today’s adventure – lively, diverse and full of surprising corners.
As the CityHunters team guide I met the 27 participants from ZWP Ingenieur AG promptly at 2:00 PM at the agreed starting point on Massenbergstraße. After a short welcome and briefing the groups were formed: four teams set off to explore the city on their own. With the CityHunters app on a tablet we were off – tasks ranged from puzzles and orientation challenges to creative team tasks. Although the teams were out on their own, I remained reachable by phone throughout the tour in case anyone needed assistance.
Our route led the groups past several well-known sights that make Bochum special: the German Mining Museum, Schauspielhaus Bochum and the town hall. Small challenges throughout kept spirits high and encouraged everyone to pitch in. That’s what makes a team building experience in Bochum so valuable: participants learn to coordinate, play to their strengths and solve problems together – all with lots of fun and a healthy competitive spirit.
The weather was pleasant and added to the relaxed atmosphere; sunny stretches alternated with a light breeze that provided refreshing pauses. Some teams also took the chance to discover small local cafés and squares – a lovely side effect of our Geocaching format.
After exactly three hours all groups returned to the starting point on Massenbergstraße for the awards ceremony. It stayed exciting until the last minute: first place went to Team Imperium with 405 points. Second place was claimed by Team Pfützenjäger, also with 405 points – a very close call. In third place was Team Holzkopf :-) with 390 points.
Events like this show why a team building experience in Bochum has such a lasting impact: shared moments, fresh impressions of the city and real successes connect people. I’m already looking forward to the next team building event and to inspiring more teams – Bochum still has many stories to tell!
