Team Building Event Landeshauptstadt München, SC-Ausbildung
Strasbourg blends history and joie de vivre in a unique way and provided the perfect backdrop for our Geocaching event in the afternoon.
On July 9, 2024 at 2:00 pm, as the CityHunters team guide, I welcomed 26 participants from the city of Munich taking part in SC training at the Hotel City Résidence Strasbourg on Rue des Magasins. After a brief introduction and handing out our tablets with the CityHunters app, I split the group into four teams — then we were off: pure team building experience in Strasbourg.
The teams set off on their own into the old town, following clues, solving puzzles and completing creative team tasks. Points were awarded for correct answers and smooth collaboration; the competition brought both speed and laughter. I remained available by phone throughout the tour to help with questions or small hiccups.
Our route led the groups past well-known sights while also revealing hidden corners of the city — from the impressive Strasbourg Cathedral to modern contrasts like the Musée d'Art moderne et contemporain de Strasbourg and the charming collections of the Alsatian Museum. Geocaching turned into a journey through culture and cuisine: a team building experience in Strasbourg that connects.
After 2.5 hours all teams returned to the hotel starting point for the award ceremony. The weather was on our side and created a cheerful atmosphere as the points were tallied. First place went convincingly to Team 3 with 130 points. In second place came the team Les douze pied agile, also with 130 points, and third place went to Aparolis with 120 points. The winners received medals — a lovely moment that reinforced the sense of community.
This Geocaching format combines fun, adventure and genuine cooperation: a team building experience in Strasbourg with lasting effects. I am glad we could share this afternoon and look forward to guiding colleagues on another discovery tour through Strasbourg soon.
