Team Building Event STRABAG AG
Murder Mystery Geocaching combines thrilling puzzle fun with city exploration and boosts team spirit at the same time – an ideal event concept for active groups.
As team guide, I welcomed 52 colleagues from STRABAG AG on July 1, 2024 at 11:00 AM, who had gathered in front of the Radisson Blu hotel on Willy-Brandt-Allee. After a brief introduction the participants were split into eight teams and given the clues they needed for their investigations. The mix of a digital tablet app and analog tasks made the game varied: waypoints marking crime scenes, tricky puzzles and creative team tasks awaited the teams.
The teams then roamed Lübeck on their own, exploring well-known spots like the Holstentor, St. Marys Church and Lübeck Cathedral, which provided atmospheric backdrops for the cases. Everyone could find a role – evidence seeker, analyst or motivator – and real team building experience in Lübeck came to life. During the two-hour game the groups competed for the highest score: correct solutions and clear team performances were rewarded. I was reachable by phone throughout the tour in case anyone needed help.
The weather was only so-so, but the fresh breeze and good spirits added to the detective atmosphere. You could feel how team building experience in Lübeck grows not only from tasks but also from shared experiences in unusual places. Small moments of success were celebrated again and again – a perfect driver for motivation and cohesion.
After exactly two hours all teams met again in front of the Radisson Blu hotel for the award ceremony. With joy and applause we congratulated the winning team Miss marple on an impressive 195 points. Second place went to Team 3 with 165 points, closely followed by inTeam in third with 150 points.
It was an all-around successful event: excitement, fun and sustainable team building experience in Lübeck. Many thanks to STRABAG AG for the trust – I look forward to the next investigations together in this beautiful city!
