Team Building Event IKEA Deutschland GmbH & Co.KG, Ndl. Walldorf
33 employees from IKEA Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG, Walldorf branch met me on 25 June 2024 at 2:00 PM at Place Saint-Étienne to take part in an exciting iPad Murder Mystery Tour.
After a warm welcome and a brief introduction to the iPads, the participants were divided into six teams. With the CityHunters app as a trusty companion we set off. The built-in map and real-time location tracking helped with navigation through Strasbourg, while at various stations criminal cases and puzzles awaited solutions. Sightseeing became an active experience.
The route led the teams past impressive sights such as Strasbourg Cathedral, the Musée d’Art moderne et contemporain de Strasbourg and the Alsatian Museum. Historic façades and charming squares turned into crime scenes where creativity, deduction and teamwork were required. Our iPad Murder Mystery Tour combines digital adventure with real-world city exploration — a perfect team building experience in Strasbourg.
For three hours the teams were on their own, competing in a friendly contest to score the most points. Points were awarded for correctly solving riddles and for collaborative tasks that promoted team spirit and communication. As the team guide I was reachable by phone throughout the tour, so quick help was available if questions or problems arose.
The weather was at its best, which added to the lively atmosphere. The joy of discovering and puzzling together was front and center — exactly what an effective team building experience in Strasbourg is all about. The iPads' digital connectivity allowed teams to track their progress and enjoy the friendly rivalry.
After exactly three hours we met again at Place Saint-Étienne for the award ceremony. In the final debrief the most creative solutions and the best team performances were celebrated. Moments like these bring people together and remain memorable — a perfect example of how a team building experience in Strasbourg blends work and fun.
