As a CityHunters team guide I had the pleasure of welcoming 12 enthusiastic participants from Uniper Global Commodities SE at the meeting point on Fürstenwall on 18 June 2024 at 4:30 p.m. After a brief greeting and an introduction to the iPads and our CityHunters app, the colleagues were divided into two teams. The atmosphere was immediately positive and the curiosity about the high-tech Scavenger Hunt was tangible.
Our iPad Tour in Düsseldorf combines modern technology with playful challenges: the teams navigated the city center independently, solved puzzles at various stations and faced off in creative team tasks. Whether it was tactical coordination, keen observation or spontaneous ingenuity, each group found its way to collect points. I remained reachable by phone throughout the tour in case any questions or technical issues arose.
Not even the changeable weather could dampen spirits; the light drizzle actually added extra vibrancy to the city and offered unusual perspectives on familiar places. Along the route we passed highlights such as the Rheinturm, the Königsallee and the Museum Kunstpalast — perfect photo opportunities and inspiring stations for exciting tasks. These shared experiences not only strengthen team bonds but also showcase Düsseldorf at its most lively.
After roughly two and a half hours all teams reconvened at Fürstenwall for the awards ceremony. The tension was high and the joy even greater: there was laughter, celebration and reflection — exactly what a successful team building experience in Düsseldorf is all about. The mix of exploration, competition and cooperation brought the group closer together and gave the colleagues many shared moments of success.
