Team Building Event ZAR Bielefeld
The concept of our iPad Murder Mystery Tour combines digital puzzles, city exploration and team play into an engaging experience that is fun and strengthens team dynamics.
On June 15, 2024 at 2:30 PM I welcomed, as CityHunters team guide, the 28 participants from ZAR Bielefeld at Altstaedter Kirchpark in Bielefeld. After a brief introduction to the schedule and the technology we split the group into five teams and handed out the iPads with the CityHunters app. The integrated map view and location indicator helped everyone get oriented right away — the perfect tool for an urban team building experience in Bielefeld.
The mood was focused and excited from the start: each team set off independently to solve criminal cases, collect evidence and tackle tricky team challenges. The tour led the teams past well-known spots in Bielefeld, including the imposing Sparrenburg, the modern Kunsthalle Bielefeld and the historic Neustädter Marienkirche — ideal backdrops for our digital crime scenes.
During the roughly three-hour tour there was lively competition for the most points. Points were only awarded for correctly solved puzzles and successfully completed team tasks — quick decisions, creative ideas and good communication were essential. As team guide I was reachable by phone for technical questions or small uncertainties, so all teams stayed safely in the game.
At the end of the three hours everyone met again at Altstaedter Kirchpark for the award ceremony. In bright weather we celebrated the best team performance: first through third place received medals and participants were able to go over the results and highlights of the tour. Moments like these show how effective a team building experience in Bielefeld can be — fun, a sense of achievement and shared memories in a lovely setting.
For me as team guide these events are always special days: you see colleagues push themselves, laugh together and discover new sides to one another.
