Team Building Event BBP Bosch, Bertel & Co GmbH
Perfect weather accompanied us that morning and immediately put everyone in great spirits for our Geocaching event in Heidelberg.
As the team guide I welcomed 19 participants from BBP Bosch, Bertel & Co. GmbH at 10:00 at University Square. After a brief introduction and being split into four teams the groups received their digital clues and set off, ready for a real team building experience in Heidelberg.
The route took the teams across the historic old town with the goal of solving as many tasks and puzzles as possible. Each team was on its own during the tour, competing in a friendly race for points. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and for creative team tasks that required communication and collaboration. I was available by phone in case any questions arose or technical support was needed.
Between the stops the groups discovered both well-known and lesser-known corners: from the view of Heidelberg Castle to the atmosphere on the Old Bridge and impressions around the Church of the Holy Spirit — the city provided the perfect stage for our program. Moments like these show why team building experience in Heidelberg is so special: sightseeing and teamwork combine into a lively, engaging experience.
After two and a half hours all teams met again at University Square for a short awards ceremony. First place went to the team Lady's & Be with 300 points, who proudly received the medals. In second place came 4 Fragezeichen with 285 points and in third place Aperol 2.0 with 270 points. Applause, good spirits and plenty of anecdotes rounded off the afternoon.
Events like this show how effective and entertaining a team building experience in Heidelberg can be: solving puzzles together, discovering the city and growing closer as a team. I am already looking forward to the next round, perhaps next time with a stop at the Ruprecht-Karls University or a detour to the University Library.
