Team Building Event BOREAS Energie GmbH
The 18 participants from BOREAS Energie GmbH met punctually on June 7, 2024 at 9:00 AM in Kreuzgasse, full of curiosity and energy. I welcomed the group as the CityHunters team guide and briefly explained the schedule before we split everyone into three teams.
Equipped with tablets and our special app, the Murder Mystery Geocaching across Erfurt began. Technology met adventure as the app guided the teams to different stations and presented tricky cases to solve on site. We passed notable landmarks — from Erfurt Cathedral and the Krämerbrücke to the Augustinian Monastery — and discovered the city from a whole new perspective.
During the tour the teams were on their own and competed in friendly rivalry for the most points. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and well-executed team challenges. I remained reachable by phone throughout in case any questions or technical issues came up. That kept the mood relaxed and the focus on shared success.
The perfect weather helped too: sunshine, good spirits and lots of laughter turned the event into a real experience. Time and again it showed how effective such challenges are as a team building experience in Erfurt — communication, creativity and cohesion were promoted in a playful way. Small aha moments and surprising solutions strengthened the team spirit and left everyone wanting more.
After exactly three hours all teams met back at Kreuzgasse for the final awards ceremony. The tension was palpable as the results were announced: the winning team was Team 1 with 0 points. A warm round of applause for everyone involved rounded off the morning — proof that fun and shared experiences were the focus of the team building experience in Erfurt.
As a team guide it was wonderful to see how much the city and our format can bring people together.
