Team Building Event EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG
The 14 colleagues from EnBW Energie Baden‑Württemberg AG met punctually on 29 May 2024 at 3:00 PM at Friedrichsplatz, ready for our Murder Mystery Geocaching through Karlsruhe.
As the team guide I welcomed the group, gave a brief introduction, and then split everyone into three teams. Using the app on the tablets, the teams set off on their own, searching for clues in the city center, solving puzzles and completing joint tasks. What began as an ordinary afternoon turned into an exciting experience full of team spirit — a real team building experience in Karlsruhe.
On the route we passed well‑known sights: Karlsruhe Palace provided an impressive backdrop, the State Art Gallery sparked creative ideas, and some teams used the Karlsruhe Zoological City Garden as a helpful point of reference. These landmarks became stages for small detective work and produced many aha moments.
During the tour the teams were completely independent and competed against each other in friendly rivalry. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and successfully completed team challenges. I remained reachable by phone the whole time, so any questions or technical problems could be resolved quickly. That kept the focus on the shared experience and on being together.
The weather wasn't spectacular but it was pleasant and helped create a good mood — perfect conditions for our team building experience in Karlsruhe. The mix of puzzles, city discovery and collaboration showed clearly how much events like this can strengthen cohesion.
After 2.5 hours all teams met again at Friedrichsplatz for the awards ceremony. Great joy for team Sherlock, which scored 180 points and took first place. Behind them came 4 Fragezeichen with 165 points, and in third place was Spalabenab with 135 points. We celebrated everyone’s successes together and briefly reflected on the best team moments.
Experiences like this show how exciting and effective a team building experience in Karlsruhe can be: you rediscover the city, strengthen team spirit and above all have a lot of fun.
