Team Building Event Poco Wuppertal
On May 24, 2024 at 12:00 I had the pleasure of guiding a special Geocaching event as a CityHunters team guide: 18 motivated colleagues from Poco Wuppertal met me in front of the German Football Museum on Königswall in Dortmund, ready for three hours of puzzles, discoveries and team spirit. After a short welcome and briefing we set off immediately — the mood was eager and curious.
We split the group into three teams, handed out tablets with the CityHunters app and explained how things would work. Then the teams set off on their own to explore the city. A team building experience in Dortmund meant puzzling together, tackling creative challenges and cheering each other on. The route led them to well-known spots like Dortmund Central Station, the impressive Reinoldikirche and charming corners near the Marienkirche — always with the goal of collecting as many points as possible.
During the tour the teams moved independently and enjoyed a friendly competitive spirit. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and successful team tasks that tested sharpness, communication and creativity. As guide I was reachable by phone the whole time, so last-minute questions could be resolved quickly — safety and support without interrupting the fun.
The weather was decent, with a kind sky and pleasant temperatures that were perfect for an active city discovery. Participants enjoyed the mix of movement, small contests and the chance to see Dortmund from a new perspective. This experience beautifully demonstrated how a team building experience in Dortmund fosters fun and togetherness.
After exactly three hours everyone returned to the starting point in front of the German Football Museum for the prize-giving. The top three teams received well-deserved medals — a proud moment when stories were shared and successes celebrated. Geocaching in Dortmund combines adventure with team spirit and remains a memorable shared experience for a long time.
