Team Building Event vertical cloud solution GmbH
As a CityHunters team guide, I led a lively Geocaching tour on 17 May 2024 with 15 colleagues from vertical cloud solution GmbH in Darmstadt. We met at Luisenplatz, where I welcomed the group and gave a brief rundown of the plan. After splitting into three teams, each group received a tablet with the preinstalled CityHunters app and the final clues to get started.
Our tour was a classic example of a team building experience in Darmstadt: the teams set off independently to notable spots around the city, solved puzzles and tackled creative team tasks. The challenges demanded logical thinking, communication and inventiveness — exactly the ingredients that bring people closer in a shared experience. During the roughly three-hour route I stayed reachable by phone in case of technical questions or requests for clarification.
Along the way we passed several well-known sights. It was especially lovely to take in the atmosphere at the Hochzeitsturm, enjoy the calm around the Russian Chapel and discover interesting corners of the city at the Hessian State Museum. This mix of urban exploration and playful competition makes our Geocaching format a memorable experience for any team.
The weather was unassuming — nothing dramatic, but pleasant enough to focus on solving puzzles and stay open to surprises. Spirits and enthusiasm were high, the teams encouraged one another and kept the shared fun in mind. Those are exactly the moments that define a successful team building experience in Darmstadt: laughing together, thinking together and finishing proud of what was achieved.
After three hours everyone regrouped at Luisenplatz for the awards ceremony. The winning team was Trüffelschwein and they were presented with medals. It was an emotional finale: recognition for creative effort and the collective achievement. For me as a guide the event remains a memory of a dynamic, unifying occasion — another great example of how a team building experience in Darmstadt combines fun, challenge and discovery.
