In bright sunshine our iPad Tour got underway — perfect conditions for an active experience in Leipzig.
As the CityHunters team guide I welcomed 15 colleagues from Stadtwerke Leipzig GmbH on 14 May 2024 at 2:00 pm. The meeting point was Bornaische Straße, where I greeted the group and gave a brief introduction to using the iPads and our CityHunters app. After the briefing we split the participants into three teams, and the race for the most points was on.
Our route took us across Leipzig city center. The teams explored well-known sites like St Thomas Church, Leipzig University and St Nicholas Church, as well as charming squares and hidden corners of the city. The iPad served as the hub: navigation, interactive puzzles and creative team tasks tested observation, communication and strategic thinking. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and successfully completed group challenges — a genuine team building experience in Leipzig that combined fun and challenge.
The CityHunters app displayed live standings and kept all teams motivated to give their best. While the teams worked independently on the tasks I was available by phone to help with questions or technical issues. That provided reassurance while still leaving room for independent work and playful collaboration.
After exactly three hours all participants met again at Bornaische Straße for the award ceremony. The atmosphere was jubilant: pride in the solutions achieved, smiling faces and plenty of praise for the creative teamwork. Moments like these show how effective a team building experience in Leipzig can be — hands-on, motivating and lasting.
As a team guide it was wonderful to see colleagues become real teams: thinking together, laughing, rolling up their sleeves. An iPad Tour in Leipzig is more than just exploring the city — it is an active experience that strengthens team spirit and lets you see the city from a new perspective.
