Team Building Event DZ BANK AG
Our event concept combines modern technology with playful competition and is exactly what a team building experience in Düsseldorf needs to come alive.
As a CityHunters team guide I had the pleasure of leading an iPad Tour on April 25, 2024 at 4:00 PM for 57 employees of DZ BANK AG. The meeting point was the Hotel Meliá Düsseldorf on Inselstraße, where we received a warm welcome. The group was split into nine teams and the excitement was immediate.
After a brief introduction to the iPads and the CityHunters app, the teams set off on their adventure. The app served as the central game platform: checkpoints, tasks and a live score showed how the teams were doing. Some puzzles required deduction, others called for creativity and teamwork — exactly the mix that defines our team building event in Düsseldorf.
The tour took the teams through Düsseldorf city center, past iconic spots such as the Rheinturm, the Königsallee and the Museum Kunstpalast. The groups were on their own during the Scavenger Hunt and competed in friendly rivalry for the most points awarded for correctly solved riddles and successful team challenges. I was of course available by phone to help with questions or provide technical support.
The weather cooperated, and the mood was both lively and focused. Everywhere you could see teams puzzling together, laughing and swapping strategies — exactly the moments that make a team building experience in Düsseldorf so valuable. The combination of exploring the city, modern tools and concrete team tasks strengthened bonds and revealed new sides of colleagues.
After 2.5 hours we met again at the Hotel Meliá Düsseldorf for the awards ceremony. At the end everyone applauded the winning teams, and there was time for a short exchange about the highlights of the tour. Experiences like this show that a team building experience in Düsseldorf is not only fun but also creates lasting connections — an experience that leaves a positive echo long after the workday.
