Team Building Event Robert Koch Institut
Potsdam enchants with history, culture and green charm – an ideal setting for an active team building event.
On 25 April 2024 at 3:00 PM I had the pleasure of welcoming 17 employees from the Robert Koch Institute to Platz der Einheit as a CityHunters team guide. After a short introduction to the iPad Tour in Potsdam and our app, I split the group into four teams. The mood was expectant and curious: the promise of puzzles, team challenges and a bit of urban adventure immediately caught everyone's attention.
Our iPad Tour in Potsdam combines a high-tech Scavenger Hunt with city exploration: each team used an iPad as their central tool, solved tasks and collected points. The teams were on their own during the tour and competed in good spirit for the highest score. The route led them through well-known corners of Potsdam, past the Brandenburg Gate, the Potsdam City Palace and the Museum Barberini, where observation skills, creativity and team spirit were required. I was reachable by phone throughout the tour, so technical questions or uncertainties could be dealt with quickly.
Over the roughly two and a half hours it became clear how effective a team building experience in Potsdam can be: alongside the competitive element, exchange, shared laughter and new insights into collaboration were the focus. Small team tasks encouraged togetherness and produced many aha moments. The weather cooperated, which made the tour even more pleasant.
After 2.5 hours all groups met back at Platz der Einheit for the joint awards ceremony. It was a special moment when the winning team Eins oder keins was announced — with 0 points, to everyone’s surprise and great laughter. It’s precisely these surprises that make our events so lively.
For me as a team guide the most important thing is that participants had fun, got to know each other better and left the experience feeling strengthened. A team building experience in Potsdam can be playful, modern and sustainable — an event that will be remembered for a long time and leaves people wanting more.
