Team Building Event Lise GmbH
On 12 April 2024 at 4:00 PM I had the pleasure, as a CityHunters team guide, of accompanying a special event: 50 employees of Lise GmbH met at the shared flat on Richard-Wagner-Straße for our iPad Tour through Cologne. After a warm welcome and a short introduction to the CityHunters app and how to use the iPads, the participants were divided into nine teams — and soon the adventure began.
Our iPad Tour combines cutting-edge technology with immersive city history: the teams navigated the downtown streets using the app, explored squares and discovered sights such as Cologne Cathedral, Museum Ludwig and the Hohenzollern Bridge. At various stations they faced tricky riddles and creative team tasks that called for observation, communication and ingenuity.
The goal was clear: a team building experience in Cologne full of fun and a competitive spirit that pushed the groups to perform at their best. The teams worked independently, earned points for correct answers and mastered challenges that rewarded both strategic thinking and collaborative action. As team guide I was available by phone the whole time to assist with questions and technical issues.
The weather cooperated and kept spirits high and active — ideal conditions for a genuine team building experience in Cologne. The CityHunters app displayed the interim standings in real time, which heated up the competition and created many motivating moments. Time and again colleagues helped one another, laughed and discovered new sides of each other.
After about two hours and 15 minutes all teams returned to our starting point, the shared flat on Richard-Wagner-Straße, for the joint awards ceremony. The excitement was palpable when the winning team was announced and received their well-deserved medals. The atmosphere was full of pride, joy and the clear sense that this team building event in Cologne had brought everyone closer together.
For me as a guide it was an enriching afternoon: seeing how technology, city history and team spirit come together confirmed how effective a team building experience in Cologne can be. Many thanks to Lise GmbH for the great participation — I look forward to many more tours through this vibrant city.
