Team Building Event HL-Studios
The iPad Murder Mystery concept turns city walks into an exciting detective adventure, combining puzzle fun with an effective team building experience in Basel.
On 19.03.2024 at 17:00 I had the pleasure of welcoming the 18 participants from HL-Studios at Barfüsserplatz as the team guide. After a brief introduction we explained the format, handed out the iPads and split the group into three teams. The atmosphere was lively and full of anticipation — perfect conditions for a genuine team building experience in Basel.
The teams then set off on their own, exploring the city and passing landmarks such as the Basel Minster, the Middle Bridge and the Kunstmuseum Basel. The challenges alternated between tricky puzzles and creative team tasks, all scored with points. Every correct answer added valuable points in the race for the top score — pure excitement and motivation.
As guide I was reachable by phone throughout the tour in case any technical questions or uncertainties arose. Fortunately the round went smoothly: the weather was perfect, the sun enhanced the atmosphere of the historic streets and squares and contributed to good spirits and focused teamwork.
The iPads guided the teams to different crime scenes, demanding keen observation, strong communication and creative thinking — qualities that are playfully fostered during a team building experience in Basel. It was wonderful to watch participants support each other, bring different talents to the table and solve problems together.
After exactly two hours everyone met again at Barfüsserplatz for the awards ceremony. In the final debrief the best detective performances were celebrated, and the lessons learned for collaboration were clearly noticeable. The positive energy and the enjoyment of competition remained the defining aspects of this company event.
This iPad Murder Mystery event once again proved that a team building experience in Basel can be perfectly combined with culture and play. It was a pleasure to lead HL-Studios on this interactive tour — an evening that beautifully united team spirit, a sense of discovery and good cheer.
