Team Building Event Rockfon
The weather was perfect: bright sunshine and mild temperatures accompanied us that afternoon.
As a team guide for CityHunters, I led an iPad Tour on 18.03.2024 at 2:30 PM for 48 enthusiastic colleagues from Rockfon in Roermond. The meeting point was Van der Valk Theaterhotel De Oranjerie, Achter de Oranjerie — a central starting point for our shared adventure. After a brief introduction to the iPads and the CityHunters app, participants were split into eight teams and off we went: a modern team building experience in Roermond.
The teams explored Roermond city center on their own, wandering through historic alleyways and passing well-known sights such as St. Christopher’s Cathedral, the Kartuizerklooster Bethlehem, and the town hall. At several stations, puzzles and creative tasks required strategic thinking, clear communication, and team spirit. The CityHunters app was the hub of the event: it guided the teams, scored their efforts, and kept the excitement high with live leaderboards — a great example of how technology and experience come together.
The competitive format was a strong motivator: every team tried to score as many points as possible through correct answers and successful group tasks. For the most part the teams were on their own, while I remained reachable by phone in case of questions or technical issues. That mix of independent exploration and supportive guidance is exactly what makes our offering a highlight as a team building experience in Roermond.
After roughly three hours all groups met back at Van der Valk Theaterhotel De Oranjerie for the award ceremony. The atmosphere was celebratory as we announced the rankings — the winning team received medals. Moments like these show how solving puzzles together, supporting one another, and sharing laughter create lasting bonds.
