Team Building Event DATEV eG
The five participants from DATEV eG met on 18 March 2024 at 3:00 pm in Beilngries for an iPad Murder Mystery Tour, ready to explore the town together and discover new sides of each other during a team building experience in Beilngries.
As the team guide I welcomed the group at the meeting point by St. Walburga Church and gave a brief introduction to the iPads. After a short briefing I split the group into two teams. The iPads with our CityHunters app showed maps and position markers, delivered nearby cases and explained the first puzzles — an ideal foundation for an active team building experience in Beilngries.
The teams then set off and worked independently: they solved puzzles, completed team tasks and collected points in a competition for the best result. The route passed well-known sites such as Schloss Hirschberg, the Bürgerknechtturm and the town hall, which served as atmospheric backdrops for the murder mystery games. The mix of puzzle fun, orientation challenges and shared decision-making produced lots of laughter, clever ideas and genuine teamwork.
During the roughly two-and-a-half-hour tour I was available by phone in case any questions or technical issues arose. The weather was fairly good and the fresh air helped everyone stay motivated and focused. After 2.5 hours the app guided the teams back to St. Walburga Church where we met for the joint awards ceremony.
The mood at the prize giving was exuberant; the winning team was the team Crime Crew with 0 points — a result that, despite the tension, caused amusement and provided plenty to talk about afterward. Experiences like this not only strengthen team spirit but also show how much fun solving puzzles together can be.
