Team Building Event NTT DATA Deutschland SE
The 19 participants from NTT DATA Germany gathered excitedly at the station in Herrsching am Ammersee, ready for our Xmas iPad Tour on 13 December 2023 at 6:30 pm.
As the team guide I welcomed the group, gave a brief introduction to the CityHunters app, and then split everyone into four teams. The mood was instantly upbeat: twinkling lights, festive decorations and the town’s historic atmosphere invited exploration. Our Xmas iPad Tour blended digital puzzle fun with classic city discovery and provided the perfect setting for a team building experience in Herrsching am Ammersee.
The teams set off on their own and followed the festive route, passing landmarks like St. Martin (Herrsching), Villa Sturm and the atmospheric lakeside promenade. Tasks and puzzles demanded reasoning, creativity and collaboration — from knowledge questions to small team challenges where every voice counted. A points-based system created a friendly competition that kept the groups motivated. I remained reachable by phone throughout the tour to help with technical issues or quick questions so everyone could find their way.
The weather cooperated and added to the relaxed, joyful atmosphere. In the app the teams could track their current scores and spur each other on — exactly what we envision for an active team building experience in Herrsching am Ammersee. You could feel communication and role distribution within the teams grow stronger as everyone worked together on solutions and discovered the town in a new light.
After 1.5 hours everyone met back at the station for the awards ceremony. During the wrap-up there was laughter, results were celebrated and the evening’s best moments were shared. Experiences like this show how effective a Xmas iPad Tour can be as part of a team building experience in Herrsching am Ammersee: connecting, entertaining and memorable.
