Erfurt enchants with its historic beauty and festive atmosphere in the run-up to Christmas.
As a CityHunters team guide I had the pleasure of leading a Xmas iPad Tour for Ergotherapie Stade GmbH on December 7, 2023 at 3:30 PM. We met at the Domplatz in Erfurt — an ideal starting point to get everyone settled and prepared. The 21 participants were split into three teams and set off in high spirits.
Our route took the groups past well-known sights such as Erfurt Cathedral, the Krämerbrücke and the Augustinian Monastery. The festively decorated streets and illuminated accents created a cozy atmosphere — the weather was decent and only added to the cheerful mood as the teams explored the city.
The Xmas iPad Tour was about more than sightseeing; it focused on solving puzzles together and tackling creative challenges. Teams scored points for correctly completed tasks and group challenges. Each team relied on its own strengths and competed in good spirits for the highest score. The groups dynamic, the laughter at inventive solutions and the strategic collaboration clearly showed how well a team building experience can work in Erfurt.
I remained reachable by phone throughout the tour in case any questions or small issues came up — a brief hint was usually all that was needed to get things back on track. The CityHunters app proved to be a fantastic companion, making the tour interactive and lively. Real-time high scores raised the excitement and the live nature of the tasks delivered many aha moments.
After one and a half hours all teams returned to the Domplatz for the awards ceremony. The mood was jubilant, and it was great to see how much the participants had bonded. This Xmas iPad Tour was a real highlight — fun, cooperation and the special atmosphere in Erfurt turned the event into a memorable experience.
