Team Building Event Europäische Zentralbank
Our event concept combines modern technology with playful competition and strengthens team spirit in an exciting way.
On December 6, 2023 at 3:00 PM I had the pleasure of serving as a team guide for an iPad Tour with 46 participants from the European Central Bank. The meeting point was at the Deutsche Bundesbank on Berliner Allee, where I warmly welcomed the group and gave a brief introduction to the iPads and the CityHunters app. After the briefing the participants were split into eight teams and the high-tech Scavenger Hunt began.
The teams set off to rediscover Düsseldorf: from modern vantage points like the Rheinturm to elegant shopping avenues such as the Königsallee and cultural sites like the Museum Kunstpalast, the city provided the perfect stage for our team building event. The tasks were varied and demanded observation, creativity and cooperation. It was a playful team building experience in Düsseldorf.
During the tour the teams worked independently and competed in friendly rivalry for the highest score. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles as well as for creative team challenges that had to be completed on site. The CityHunters app displayed live interim results and added extra motivation with a live score and messaging features — a real boost for the shared experience and an ideal team building experience in Düsseldorf.
I remained reachable by phone throughout the tour in case any questions or technical issues arose. The weather cooperated, so the mood stayed both lively and focused. After exactly three hours all groups reconvened at the Deutsche Bundesbank for the joint awards ceremony.
The final awards brought smiling faces and well-deserved recognition for especially creative solutions and strong teamwork. Experiences like this show how effective a team building experience in Düsseldorf can be: it combines city discovery, technology and team spirit in a lasting way. A fitting finale, and for many the perfect reason to end the evening together at one of the city's lovely restaurants.
