Team Building Event Google GmbH Deutschland
The event concept blends urban exploration, puzzle fun and team spirit — and I got to experience it live as a CityHunters team guide on 05.12.2023. At 10:00, 19 colleagues from Google GmbH Germany met me at Rindermarkt in Old Town. After a warm welcome each group received a short introduction, we explained the format and how to use the CityHunters app on the tablets, then the participants were split into six teams and the adventure began.
The teams roamed Old Town on their own, discovered corners of the city centre and tackled tricky puzzles and creative team tasks along the way. Stations around well-known sights such as the Frauenkirche, the New Town Hall and the Deutsches Museum offered varied challenges and nice views. Points were awarded for correctly solved tasks and good teamwork — those who collaborated best gathered the most points.
During the tour I was reachable by phone in case any questions came up or technical support was needed. It was great to watch how the competitive spirit quickly turned into genuine cohesion: teams planned, debated and laughed together — exactly what a team building experience in Old Town is all about. The good weather helped keep spirits light and motivated.
After two hours everyone met back at Rindermarkt for a joint award ceremony. The last minutes were exciting; when it came to scoring, concentration and cleverness counted. At the prize presentation we celebrated successes, took photos and reflected on the shared experience. Moments like these not only strengthen collaboration but also create lasting memories of Old Town and the tasks tackled together.
As a team guide it was a pleasure to see how much energy and creativity the groups put in. Geocaching with CityHunters is a lively form of the team building experience, where the city itself becomes the stage.
