Team Building Event SBH West GmbH
On December 1, 2023 at 10:00 I had the pleasure of guiding the Xmas iPad Tour for 24 colleagues from SBH West GmbH in Herne. The meeting point was Herne Town Hall, where after a short introduction to the app and the game format we divided the group into four motivated teams. The mood was immediately noticeable: eager, focused and full of anticipation for the festive challenges.
Although the weather did not offer sunshine, the light drizzle gave Herne's festively decorated streets a particularly cozy atmosphere. That contrast made the tour feel authentic — lights, historic facades and winter decorations together created the perfect setting for our team building experience in Herne.
The teams wandered the city on their own, solved puzzles on the iPads and completed creative team tasks to collect points. The challenges required sharp thinking and cooperation: from small brainteasers to photographic tasks — every contribution counted. I was available by phone throughout the tour, so help was on hand for any questions or technical issues.
Along the way the groups discovered well-known spots such as the LWL Museum of Archaeology and Culture, the Martin-Opitz Library and the impressive St. Bonifatius Church. Those little sightseeing moments added variety and made the Xmas iPad Tour not only exciting but culturally rich. Moments like these support exactly what we aim to achieve with team building experience in Herne: shared experiences, laughter and discovery.
After three hours all participants returned to Herne Town Hall, and the final award ceremony provided a fitting finale. When the winners were announced there was a tangible sense of joy in the air — not only among the victors but among everyone who had worked together, solved puzzles and supported one another. For me it was once again a lovely example of how much energy and connection a shared experience can generate.
The Xmas iPad Tour demonstrated how effective a team building experience in Herne can be: engaging, interactive and full of positive memories. I am already looking forward to the next group who want to explore the city with us in this special way.
