Team Building Event Jacob Elektronik GmbH
As a team guide for CityHunters I had the pleasure on November 24, 2023 at 4:30 pm of overseeing a Murder Mystery Geocaching event for Jacob Elektronik GmbH in Karlsruhe. The meeting point was Friedrichsplatz, where I warmly welcomed the twelve participants and gave a brief rundown of the schedule. The mood was expectant and curious, perfect conditions for our team building experience in Karlsruhe.
After the introduction I divided the group into three teams. Each team received a tablet with the special app that guided them through the city and presented the criminal cases. The participants became investigators who had to gather clues at various locations, solve puzzles and complete team tasks. In this way our concept combines adventure with an effective team building experience in Karlsruhe.
The route took the teams past well known spots including Karlsruhe Palace and the Staatliche Kunsthalle Karlsruhe, places that became even more exciting seen from a new perspective. The area around the Federal Court of Justice is also often part of our tour and offered many appealing stations today. The teams worked with focus and great commitment.
During the roughly two hour tour the teams were largely on their own and competed against each other in friendly rivalry. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and successfully completed team tasks. I was available by phone throughout in case questions or technical problems arose and I enjoyed seeing many creative approaches to the challenges.
The weather was pleasant, not too cold with a friendly sky, so the walk through the city centre and past sights such as the Karlsruhe Zoological City Garden was a lot of fun. The atmosphere was relaxed and motivating, ideal for shared experiences and exchange.
After two hours all teams met again at Friedrichsplatz for the awards ceremony. To the surprise and great amusement of everyone the team Anonyme Alkoholiker was announced as the winners, with 0 points to their name. Such unexpected moments provide plenty to talk about and keep spirits high long after the event.
This Murder Mystery Geocaching was once again a vivid example of how team building experiences in Karlsruhe bring work teams together, foster communication and provide a lot of fun. I look forward to the next exciting investigations in this lively city.
