Team Building Event Deine Lobby GmbH
On November 17, 2023 at 2:15 PM I welcomed a lively group from Deine Lobby GmbH as a CityHunters team guide. Twenty colleagues met at the Palais am Festungsgraben, received a brief greeting and were split into three teams, and then our exciting Geocaching adventure through Mitte began. The weather cooperated and the mood was positive and expectant.
After a short introduction the teams received their tablets with the CityHunters app and the playful rules were explained. Soon each group adopted its own strategy, because Geocaching is not just about finding your way but about creativity, problem solving and team spirit. Our route led to well-known sights and hidden corners, ideal for a real team building experience in Mitte.
The challenges ranged from tricky puzzles to active team tasks that required everyone to pitch in. Points were awarded for correct answers and for especially clever solutions, and the friendly competition produced plenty of laughs and surprising moments. Especially at stations near the Brandenburger Tor and on the Museumsinsel it became clear how well the teams could work together. The view of the Berliner Dom also made a great backdrop for group photos.
During the tour the organizing team and I remained reachable by phone in case any questions or small issues came up. The teams working independently and the opportunity to self-organize made the experience a powerful one for all participants. This is how a team building experience in Mitte works: experience, decide, grow together.
After exactly two hours we met back at the Palais am Festungsgraben for the awards ceremony. The tension was tangible as the points were tallied and the winning team was celebrated with applause. Those shared moments of success are what turn a group of colleagues into a truly well-rehearsed unit.
This event was once again a great example of how Geocaching combines urban exploration and team development. A team building experience in Mitte remains for me one of the most varied formats — full of fun, surprising discoveries and intense collaboration. I am already looking forward to the next adventure with new groups in this fascinating city.
