Team Building Event DBL - Deutsche Berufskleider- Leasing GmbH
Seventeen participants from DBL - Deutsche Berufskleider-Leasing GmbH met early in the morning, full of curiosity and team spirit, to take part in an exciting Geocaching adventure.
As a team guide for CityHunters I welcomed the group at Theaterplatz in Erfurt and gave a brief run-through of the plan. After a short briefing and dividing into three teams, we got started: each team received the necessary tools and got familiar with the app before the Scavenger Hunt through the old town began. This is how a team building experience in Erfurt starts in a lively and interactive way.
During the tour the teams were on their own and competed against each other in friendly rivalry. What mattered were problem solving, communication and creativity — points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and successfully completed team tasks. I remained available by phone the whole time in case any questions or issues arose.
The route led the groups past well-known sights and showcased the variety of Erfurt: sometimes past the impressive Erfurt Cathedral, sometimes across the charming Krämerbrücke, or near the Augustine Monastery. This blend of culture and play is what makes the team building experience in Erfurt so special.
The weather cooperated, and the mood was both exuberant and focused. After two hours all teams returned to Theaterplatz for the awards ceremony. In a surprisingly close finish and to much applause the team Knöpfe emerged as winners and were presented with medals. Interestingly, the results sheet listed 0 points for the winning team, a moment that brought laughter and reinforced the team spirit.
As a guide it was wonderful to see conversations sparked by the tasks, strengths becoming visible and new connections being made. Geocaching in Erfurt offers exactly that mix of discovery, fun and collaboration and is therefore a perfect choice for your next team building event.
