Team Building Event Beiersdorf
As a CityHunters team guide I had the pleasure of leading a Geocaching tour on November 15, 2023 at 4:15 p.m. for twelve participants from Beiersdorf in Old Town. The meeting point was the Rathausmarkt, where I greeted the group and gave a brief overview of the schedule. The mood was eager — perfect conditions for an intensive team building experience in Old Town.
After the introduction we split the group into two teams. I explained the rules, handed out tablets with the CityHunters app and pointed them to the first tasks. It quickly became clear how participants began to find their roles: planners, puzzle-solvers, observers — genuine teamwork that really came to life during the team building experience in Old Town.
Then the teams set off through the city center. The tour led them past well-known and hidden spots: by the impressive Elbphilharmonie, through the historic alleys of the Speicherstadt and with views of the main church St. Michaelis. At each station there were puzzles and challenges that awarded points — some demanded strategic thinking, others creativity and collaboration. While the teams competed in a friendly rivalry on their own, I remained reachable by phone for questions.
The weather was fine — not perfect, but pleasant and mild enough to enjoy the walk through the city. Conditions like that encourage focused work and fun at the same time: teams laughed, debated and cheered over solved tasks. Moments like these promote lasting team building experiences in Old Town.
After exactly two hours all teams returned to the Rathausmarkt for the award ceremony. Excitement and joy were in the air as we tallied the points and honored the winning team. Those final moments strengthen team bonds and stay in the team's collective memory for a long time.
As a guide it was a pleasure once again to see how Geocaching in Old Town brings people together: team spirit, a sense of discovery and the beauty of the city all wrapped into one experience.
