Team Building Event Novartis Pharma GmbH
As a CityHunters team guide I had the pleasure of leading an iPad Tour on November 15, 2023 at 3:30 pm with 45 enthusiastic colleagues from Novartis Pharma GmbH in Old Town. We met at Odeonsplatz and set off together on an exciting city adventure. The atmosphere was open and curious from the start.
After a short briefing on the iPads and the CityHunters app the participants were split into six teams. Each team received an iPad as the central hub for the tour, just like we do in our high-tech Scavenger Hunt. The app connected the groups in real time, displayed scores and enabled a motivating live chat.
The teams explored Old Town on their own and playfully discovered landmarks such as the Frauenkirche, the Deutsches Museum and the New Town Hall. At various stations interactive puzzles and creative team tasks awaited, testing observation, imagination and cooperation. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and successful team performances, and the competition added extra energy to the event.
During the roughly two-hour tour I was reachable by phone in case questions came up or technical support was needed. The teams' self-organization fostered genuine team spirit: strategies were formed, roles assigned and successes celebrated together. This is how a team building experience comes to life in Old Town.
The weather was on our side — pleasant for a stroll through the Old Town and the perfect backdrop for our team building event. The mix of city discovery, excitement and shared successes made the tour a wonderful experience for everyone involved.
At the end all teams returned to Odeonsplatz for the awards ceremony. Looking back at the challenge and the points scored the positive response was clear: new conversations, solved challenges and many smiling faces. The team building experience in Old Town once again showed how well shared activities bring people together.
