Our Murder Mystery Geocaching combines puzzle fun with city exploration — an event concept that perfectly blends excitement, technology and team spirit.
On 02.11.2023 at 12:00 I welcomed the 11 people from Audi Events and Services GmbH as their team guide at Max-Joseph-Platz in Old Town. After a brief introduction and explanation of the rules, I split the group into two teams. Equipped with tablets and our custom app, the investigators set off on their personal adventure across the city center.
The participants experienced a team building experience in Old Town first-hand: tackling tricky puzzles, creative team tasks and joint clue-hunting. The app guided the teams to various stations, past landmarks like the Frauenkirche, the New Town Hall and the Deutsches Museum. Everywhere there were clues to discover, codes to crack and decisions to make that determined points and rankings.
The weather hadn't shown its best side, but that didn't dampen the mood. On the contrary, the rain added a special dynamic and brought people closer together: rain capes, good humor and joint effort turned the tour into a truly successful experience. Moments like these are exactly what a team building experience in Old Town is about: sticking together, pitching in and having fun.
During the three hours of play time, the teams were largely left to their own devices and competed fairly for the most points. I was reachable by phone at any time if questions arose or help was needed. This kept the excitement high and strengthened the groups' own responsibility — classic elements of successful team building experiences.
After three hours everyone met back at Max-Joseph-Platz for the joint award ceremony. Looking back on the tour, it became clear how much the challenges had promoted cooperation: clever solutions, mutual support and lots of solved cases put everyone in a great mood.
This Murder Mystery Geocaching is a wonderful way to discover Old Town from a new perspective while strengthening team spirit. For everyone involved it was a lively, motivating experience — a genuine team building experience in Old Town that lingers long after.
