Team Building Event Johanniter Krankenhaus Bonn-Medizincontrolling
Murder Mystery Geocaching combines puzzle fun, digital technology and collaborative sleuthing into an engaging event concept.
As a team guide for CityHunters I had the pleasure of welcoming the team from Johanniter Hospital Bonn Medical Controlling in Bonn on 24.10.2023 at 9:30. We met at the entrance of the Schlosskirche, where I gave a brief introduction to the game and split the 12 participants into two teams. Each group received a tablet with our custom app, which guided them through the cases and tasks across the city.
The tour began in the city centre and set the teams off on an exciting trail: technology meets adventure, as the app pointed out the next crime scenes and presented tricky puzzles and team challenges. Both teams were on their own during the tour and competed in good-natured rivalry — points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and successfully completed tasks.
Along the way participants discovered Bonn from a new angle: stops around the Bonner Münster, the Beethoven House and Poppelsdorf Palace became the stages for our interactive murder mysteries. Encounters with familiar landmarks like these make our team building experience in Bonn particularly vivid and create many aha moments.
The cohesion and communication within the teams were a joy to observe. Short strategy discussions, jointly analysing clues and solving tricky tasks noticeably strengthened the team spirit — exactly what we understand as an effective team building experience in Bonn. I remained reachable by phone throughout in case any technical questions or task-related queries arose.
After about two and a half hours all groups returned to the entrance of the Schlosskirche for the joint awards ceremony. In brilliant weather we celebrated the morning's best investigators and reflected on the day’s highlights. Events like these are perfect opportunities to boost motivation and togetherness — a genuine team building experience in Bonn that leaves a lasting impression.
I am already looking forward to more exciting assignments and to guiding even more teams on their shared sleuthing adventures through Bonn.
