Team Building Event DB Netz AG
The 24 participants from DB Netz AG met punctually on October 18, 2023 at 3:30 PM for their iPad Murder Mystery Tour event — eager, motivated and ready for a special team building experience in Marburg.
I welcomed the group at the meeting point, Hotel Vila on Anneliese-Pohl-Allee, and gave a brief rundown of the plan. Four teams were quickly formed, each team received an iPad with our CityHunters app, and off they went: a team building experience in Marburg in the form of a digital scavenger hunt.
The route led the teams through the charming alleys of Marburg and past landmarks like the Elisabeth Church, Marburg Castle and the Old Botanical Garden. Puzzles and team challenges awaited at every turn, demanding clever thinking, clear communication and speed. The teams were on their own and competed in friendly rivalry for the highest score — tension and laughter were never far apart.
During the tour my colleagues and I were reachable by phone in case any questions or technical issues arose. The iPads guided the teams to the next scenes, provided clues and recorded solutions in real time. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and successful team tasks, which kept everyone motivated and created great team spirit.
After 2.5 hours everyone met again at Hotel Vila for the awards ceremony. In fine weather we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, looked back on the best moments and crowned the winning teams. The mix of discovery, tricky cases and joint action created visible cohesion — a real team building experience in Marburg that lasts long after the event.
