Team Building Event Q8 Oils
The 65 participants from Q8 Oils set out enthusiastically to discover Lörrach from a new perspective.
On 18 October 2023 at 5:30 PM we met at Hotel Stadt Lörrach, where I, as the CityHunters team guide, warmly welcomed the group and gave a short overview of the iPad Tour in Lörrach. After a compact briefing on how to use the tablets and the CityHunters app we formed ten teams and the adventure began.
Our iPad Tour playfully combined history, culture and modern technology: the teams navigated the city center independently, explored areas around the Evangelical Town Church, St. Fridolin Church and the Lörrach City Library, and solved creative puzzles and team tasks at various stations. It was easy to see how quickly conversations deepened and colleagues started collaborating in new ways — a true team building experience in Lörrach.
During the tour the groups were on their own and competed against each other in friendly rivalry. Points were awarded for correctly solving tasks, for observation skills and for teamwork. The CityHunters app served as the central hub: it displayed scores and provided structure while I remained reachable by phone in case anyone needed assistance.
The weather was fine — pleasant for a walk through the city and just right to lift the mood without anyone losing their bearings. The relaxed atmosphere and varied challenges brought plenty of laughs and small aha moments, exactly what makes for an effective team building experience in Lörrach.
After about two and a half hours all teams met back at Hotel Stadt Lörrach for the awards ceremony. During the subsequent conversations there was great delight over the teams successful performances and the new impressions gained. Evenings like this show how shared experiences connect people — a thoroughly successful form of team building experience in Lörrach that is fun and memorable.
