Team Building Event Stadt Essen
Our event concept combines puzzle fun, digital clue hunting and collaborative action into an exciting Murder Mystery Geocaching experience, giving teams a fresh way to discover the city and build team spirit.
On October 17, 2023 at 12:00 PM I met the 12 participants from the company Stadt Essen at Burgplatz to welcome them to their team building experience in Essen. After a brief introduction the participants were split into two teams and equipped with tablets. The app guided the teams to various crime scenes in the city center, turning familiar spots into stages for mysterious cases and challenging the groups with tricky puzzles and team tasks.
The atmosphere was lively and motivating: while the teams operated independently and competed for the most points, you could see focused discussions, spontaneous laughter and creative problem solving. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles and completing tasks together — a genuine team building experience in Essen that promotes cooperation, communication and fun in equal measure.
We passed well-known sights that suddenly took on new meaning as places to find clues — from the Museum Folkwang and Essen Cathedral to the Old Synagogue. These locations offered not only attractive backdrops but also plenty of conversation and opportunities to experience the city from a different perspective.
During the tour I was reachable by phone and supported the teams with questions without disrupting their engaging independence. The three hours flew by; the weather cooperated and helped keep spirits high.
Back at Burgplatz all teams met for the awards ceremony. The beaming faces, friendly competition and shared celebration of success showed that this format is more than a game — it is an effective team building experience in Essen that leaves a lasting impression. Those who investigate here experience the city intensely while strengthening team cohesion.
I am already looking forward to the next assignments and to taking more groups on this clue hunt through Essen. Experiencing, puzzling and growing together — that is how our Murder Mystery Geocaching becomes a true highlight for teams.
