Team Building Event Lieken Brot- und Backwaren GmbH
Our event concept combines modern technology with playful competition, naturally strengthening team spirit.
On 11 October 2023 at 08:45 I had the pleasure of welcoming the 14 colleagues from Lieken Brot- und Backwaren GmbH at the meeting point in front of the DJH youth hostel Cappenberger See in Lünen. After a brief introduction to the iPads and the CityHunters App, participants were split into two teams and the adventure began: a team building experience in Lünen, interactive, dynamic, and full of discovery.
The teams set off, guided by their iPads, which presented tasks, puzzles, and creative challenges at every station. Along the route there were repeated lovely views of well-known places in Lünen — from St. Marien to the Old Coffee Roastery and the Selimiye Mosque. It was not just speed that mattered, but clever teamwork and collaborative problem solving. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and successful team tasks, creating a motivating competition.
As the team guide I was reachable by phone throughout the tour in case help was needed. The teams worked independently, exchanged strategies, and enjoyed the little aha moments when a puzzle finally clicked. Those are exactly the moments that make our team building experience in Lünen so valuable: you get to know colleagues in new ways, strengthen communication and trust, and have a lot of fun.
After two hours everyone met back at the youth hostel for the joint awards ceremony. The mood was lively, the weather had been perfect, and there were many smiling faces. In the short debrief it became clear that the iPad Tour had not only provided entertainment but also promoted real team dynamics.
Experiences like this show how inspiring a team building experience in Lünen can be — a mix of city exploration, technology, and cooperation. I am already looking forward to the next time and to inspiring even more teams for Lünen.
