Team Building Event Globus Handelshof St. Wendel GmbH & Co. KG
As a team guide for CityHunters, I had the pleasure on September 30, 2023 of leading an iPad Murder Mystery Tour for the colleagues from Globus Handelshof St. Wendel GmbH & Co. KG in Mannheim. We met at Paradeplatz at 1:15 PM sharp, and you could feel the excitement right away. The group of 15 was split into three teams and, after a short introduction, everyone was handed iPads.
The briefing covered the app functions, the map view and how to approach the cases. Then it was go time: a team building experience in Mannheim at its most thrilling. The teams were on their own, working through tricky puzzles, completing team tasks and collecting points. It was wonderful to see different skills come together, from careful observation to creative problem solving.
Our route took the teams past some of Mannheim’s highlights: Mannheim Palace, the Kunsthalle Mannheim and the Jesuit Church. These historic and cultural sites provided the perfect backdrop for our interactive murder mystery adventure and showed how well urban exploration and team building experience in Mannheim go hand in hand.
I stayed available by phone during the tour in case any questions or technical issues came up. Most problems were resolved quickly and easily, allowing the groups to continue their competition with full energy. The mood was consistently positive — the sun helped, contributing to a relaxed but focused atmosphere.
After roughly two and a half hours everyone met again at Paradeplatz for the award ceremony. At the informal wrap-up there was laughter, tactical debriefing and the winning teams were celebrated. Moments like these really highlight how effective a team building experience in Mannheim can be: tackling challenges together, having fun and seeing the city in a new light.
