Team Building Event Stadtwerke Bayreuth Energie und Wasser GmbH
As a team guide for CityHunters, I had the pleasure of leading a special experience on September 26, 2023 at 9:00 AM: 18 motivated colleagues from Stadtwerke Bayreuth Energie und Wasser GmbH met in the Hofgarten Bayreuth to take part in our iPad Murder Mystery Tour. The weather was perfect and the mood was full of anticipation from the start — the ideal setting for a genuine team building experience in Bayreuth.
After a brief welcome and a compact introduction to operating the iPads, I split the group into four teams. The CityHunters app displayed the route and the first cases; with a map and location indicator they navigated the city center independently. Our goal was not only to solve puzzles, but above all to work together as a team — a true team building experience in Bayreuth that’s fun and brings people closer.
The tasks led the teams past some of Bayreuth’s most beautiful spots: from the Margravial Opera House via Haus Wahnfried to the New Palace Bayreuth there was plenty to see and discover. At each station tricky puzzles and collaborative tasks called for different team strengths; points were awarded for correct answers and successful team actions. This created a lively competition where cooperation and creativity counted.
Over the roughly three hours the groups were on their own, though I was available by phone to assist with technical questions or uncertainties. The mix of a digital Scavenger Hunt, exploring the surroundings and shared aha moments made the tour an intense experience — typical of a great team building experience in Bayreuth.
After almost three hours everyone met back in the Hofgarten Bayreuth for the awards ceremony. In high spirits and under sunny skies the top teams were celebrated, successes shared and funny anecdotes exchanged. Moments like these show how effective an interactive format can be for bringing colleagues closer together.
As a guide it was rewarding to see individuals develop into groups with dynamic cohesion. The iPad Murder Mystery Tour combines discovery, mental challenge and team spirit — a wonderful form of team building experience in Bayreuth that lingers long afterward.
