Team Building Event DACHSER Austria GmbH
On 21.09.2023 at 09:30 I had the pleasure of accompanying a special team building event as a CityHunters team guide: 79 colleagues from DACHSER Austria GmbH gathered on the square in front of the Mariendom in Linz, ready for our iPad Tour. After a warm welcome and a short introduction to using the iPads and the CityHunters app, the participants were split into 12 teams – the excitement was palpable and the goal was clear: earn points together and prove themselves as a team.
Our iPad Tour casually blended history, culture and modern technology. The teams set off to explore Linz city centre, discovering sights such as the Mariä-Empfängnis-Dom, the Lentos Art Museum Linz and Linz Castle, while solving interactive puzzles and tackling creative team tasks at various stations. I remained reachable by phone throughout the tour and was on hand to help with any questions or technical issues.
The concept promotes exactly what we mean by a team building experience in Linz: collaborative problem solving, communication and plenty of fun. The teams operated independently, planned strategies, divided responsibilities and competed for the highest score. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and successful team challenges, and the sense of togetherness often mattered more than the seconds on the clock.
The weather played along, making the route through the city particularly pleasant. After exactly three hours all groups met again on the square in front of the Mariendom for the joint awards ceremony. The atmosphere was high spirits as the three top teams received medals – a nice finale to an intense morning.
This iPad Tour is a powerful format for a team building experience in Linz: it combines playful challenges with urban discovery and helps colleagues grow closer in new ways. I am pleased that we were able to make the day such a success together and look forward to more groups who want to explore Linz in this interactive way.
