Team Building Event Deutsche Wohnwerte GmbH & Co. KG
Geocaching combines puzzles, physical activity and shared experiences – exactly this event concept I had the pleasure of guiding as a CityHunters team guide on September 14, 2023 in Bamberg.
At 3:00 PM seven participants from Deutschen Wohnwerte GmbH & Co. KG met at the Tourist Information at Schloss Geyerswoerth, where I welcomed them. After a short introduction to the schedule and handing out the tablets, we set off: the group was split into two teams and enthusiastically began exploring the charming streets of the city.
In bright sunshine Bamberg showed its best side – ideal conditions for a real team building experience in Bamberg. The stations led the teams past well-known sights such as Bamberg Cathedral, the Old Town Hall and the New Residence. At every stop there were tricky puzzles and creative team tasks that called for both thinking and communication.
During the tour the teams moved independently and competed in a friendly contest for the most points. Points were awarded for solving tasks correctly and for clever teamwork. I remained reachable by phone throughout to help with questions or minor technical issues – the group knew that support was just a call away.
This format delivers exactly the mix of fun, competition and personal exchange that makes a team building experience in Bamberg so valuable. You do not just see the city as a tourist, but discover corners, stories and encounters that often remain hidden in everyday life. The participants energy and commitment quickly made clear how much shared experiences connect people.
After three hours all teams gathered again at the Tourist Information at Schloss Geyerswoerth for the awards ceremony. Laughter, anecdotes and plans for a rematch accompanied the debrief – a fitting conclusion to a varied afternoon.
For me as a team guide it was once again a pleasure to see how Geocaching and well-designed tasks can genuinely promote a team building experience in Bamberg. I am already looking forward to the next groups who want to discover this special format.
