Team Building Event AföO LHS Stuttgart, Veterinäramt
The event concept blends Geocaching, tricky puzzles and shared discovery into a lively experience – exactly what I got to host on September 13, 2023 with the group from AföO LHS Stuttgart, Veterinäramt. We met punctually at 9:30 AM at the Kunstgebäude on Schlossplatz, I welcomed the 24 participants and split them into four motivated teams.
After a brief introduction the teams received tablets with the CityHunters app and set off through Stuttgart. Our route passed well-known spots like the Staatsgalerie, the Old Castle and the Stiftskirche – perfect stops for rediscovering the city. Between historic façades and bustling squares clues and tasks were tucked away that everyone had to solve together. This is team building experience in Stuttgart in a playful and very active form.
During the tour the teams worked independently and engaged in a friendly competition to score the most points. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and creative team tasks – from combining clues to group brainstorming. As the team guide I was reachable by phone if questions or technical problems came up, but I stayed intentionally in the background so the groups could unfold their potential.
The weather was fairly nice and provided pleasant conditions: neither too hot nor too cold, ideal for focus and movement. Such conditions support togetherness and make team building experience in Stuttgart an effective way for colleagues to get to know one another better.
After three hours all teams reconvened at the Kunstgebäude on Schlossplatz for the joint awards ceremony. Excitement, laughter and pride filled the air – and in the end the winning team Panther celebrated the day despite having scored 0 points, which brought plenty of laughter. Moments like these show how Geocaching in Stuttgart creates not just competition but above all a sense of community.
