Team Building Event ifm electronic gmbh
The eight participants from ifm electronic gmbh met me at Burgplatz on August 9, 2023 at 4:00 PM, ready for an exciting Murder Mystery Geocaching in Essen.
As the team guide I briefly welcomed the group, explained the rules, and divided everyone into two teams. Equipped with tablets and our custom app, the teams set off; each tablet workflow showed the next crime scenes and presented tricky puzzles and team tasks. It wasn't just about logic, but above all communication, role distribution and acting together: a genuine team building experience in Essen that was a lot of fun.
The route took the groups past well-known spots like the Museum Folkwang, Essen Minster and the Old Synagogue. These landmarks became settings for small investigations where clues were gathered, traces analyzed and tasks solved as a team. The teams were on their own during the tour and competed amicably for the most points — an ideal setting for a team building experience in Essen.
Throughout the 2.5 hours I was reachable by phone in case technical questions or minor uncertainties arose. The participants used creative ideas and different strengths to crack the cases. It was especially rewarding to see colleagues try out unfamiliar roles and, through that, collaborate even more effectively. The weather cooperated, so the mood stayed positive and energetic from the start.
At the agreed time all teams returned to Burgplatz for the joint awards ceremony. It was a cheerful finale: handshakes, comparing results and celebrating the team's achievements. Moments like these show why a team building experience in Essen is more than just a game — it is a chance to strengthen relationships and gain new perspectives within the group.
For me as a team guide it was once again enriching to see how much energy and creativity a group contains. This Murder Mystery Geocaching offered the perfect combination of city exploration, puzzle fun and teamwork — a successful afternoon in Essen that will be remembered for a long time.
