Team Building Event GovRadar GmbH
The concept: a modern iPad Scavenger Hunt that combines city exploration, puzzle fun, and targeted team building experience.
As the team guide I had the pleasure of welcoming the GovRadar GmbH group at Odeonsplatz in Old Town on August 4, 2023 at 10:00 AM. Twenty-one colleagues gathered, and after a short briefing on how to use the iPads and the CityHunters app, participants were divided into three teams. The iPads served as the hub – navigation, tasks, and the live display of scores were all handled through the app.
Our iPad Tour in Old Town led the teams through bustling streets and past well-known sights such as the Frauenkirche, the Deutsches Museum, and the New Town Hall. At the stops they faced interactive challenges, creative team tasks, and tricky puzzles that demanded observation, communication, and inventiveness. The teams were on their own during the tour and competed in a friendly rivalry to score the most points.
I was reachable by phone throughout the tour in case any technical or organizational questions came up. The CityHunters app also provided a live chat and showed the scores in real time – that motivated everyone and gave an extra push.
The weather was fine and accompanied us pleasantly during the city exploration; the mood stayed cheerful and energetic. Especially with activities like this you can see how powerful a team building experience in Old Town can be: shared successes, spontaneous laughter, and solving tasks together visibly strengthen the team spirit.
After about three hours all teams met again at Odeonsplatz for the awards ceremony. The joy over completed challenges, the small aha moments at historic sites, and the shared experience were properly celebrated.
