Team Building Event DATEV eG
The 30 participants from DATEV eG arrived in high spirits and prepared for our iPad Tour in Nuremberg on July 27, 2023 at 4:00 pm.
As the CityHunters team guide I met the group on Fürther Straße and gave a brief introduction to the technology and the CityHunters App. After the briefing we split into seven teams — each received an iPad as the key to the high‑tech Scavenger Hunt. Thus began a real experience that promotes fun and communication: a perfect team building experience in Nuremberg.
The tour led the teams through the city center. At well known sites such as Nuremberg Castle, the Albrecht Dürer House and St. Lorenz they encountered varied puzzles and creative team tasks. The challenges were designed so each team could play to its strengths: powers of observation, tactics and collective problem solving determined the scoring.
During the tour the teams were largely left to their own devices and could make independent decisions — a central moment for a lasting team building experience in Nuremberg. I remained reachable by phone throughout to assist with questions or technical issues, but intentionally stayed in the background so the groups could find their own rhythm.
The weather was not entirely cooperative, but its changing moods only made the event more lively: rain showers turned into little team challenges and created shared memories that will linger. The atmosphere stayed upbeat and energizing, because situations like these strengthen team cohesion.
After about an hour and a half all teams reconvened at our starting point for the awards ceremony. The points, earned through correctly solved puzzles and successful team tasks, were announced with enthusiasm — a great finale to an intense experience.
The iPad Tour in Nuremberg combines culture, technology and playful learning in a modern way. Whether Nuremberg Castle, St. Lorenz or the Albrecht Dürer House, the city provides the perfect backdrop for an effective team building experience. It was a pleasure to accompany the colleagues from DATEV eG and to see team spirit and enjoyment grow together.
