Team Building Event SWAV
Karlsruhe is a city full of surprises, perfect for rediscovering together as a team.
As a CityHunters team guide I had the pleasure of leading a Murder Mystery Geocaching for the company SWAV on 27 July 2023 at 10:45. Eighteen eager participants met at Friedrichsplatz, received a brief welcome and were split into three teams. After a concise briefing the adventure began: tablets on, app launched, and the digital scavenger hunt led them straight into the city center.
Our route took the teams past familiar sights such as Karlsruhe Palace, the Staatliche Kunsthalle Karlsruhe and the Zoological City Garden, which became the scenes of exciting investigations. The mix of technology and adventure — the tablet as the central tool and the tricky cases in the app — generated a lot of energy and creative problem solving. Every clue counted and every team challenge awarded points.
During the tour the teams were largely on their own, competing in a friendly contest to score the most points. Points were given for correctly solving puzzles and for mastering tasks together. I remained reachable by phone throughout, in case questions or small setbacks came up — usually a few hints were enough to get the group back on track.
The weather showed a wild side, but that did not dampen spirits: a fresh wind and occasional drizzle added extra spice to the day. Rather than slowing anyone down the atmosphere created many funny moments and strengthened the sense of togetherness. It is precisely these little adversities that bond people — team building experience in Karlsruhe at its liveliest.
After two and a half hours everyone met again at Friedrichsplatz for the award ceremony. Looking back it was clear how much fun the teams had, how well they had worked together and how many talents emerged. Team building experience in Karlsruhe thrives on moments like these: puzzling together, laughing and celebrating successes. I am glad we could give SWAV an unforgettable event and I look forward to the next scavenger hunt through Karlsruhe.
