Team Building Event Florio GmbH
As a team guide for CityHunters, I led a special Geocaching event for Florio GmbH in Old Town on July 26, 2023 at 5:30 PM. Twenty-five enthusiastic participants met me at Max-Joseph-Platz, we exchanged brief greetings, I gave a short introduction, and off we went: the group was split into five teams, and I equipped each team with a tablet and our CityHunters app.
The mood was immediately upbeat and expectant — despite the changeable weather, which only added an exciting, adventurous vibe. A bit of fresh air during a team building experience in Old Town really wakes everyone up and sharpens their focus. The teams received their first coordinates and set off to solve the tour's puzzles and tasks.
Our route took the groups past the city's well-known spots: by the Frauenkirche, with frequent views of the New Town Hall, and past stations reminiscent of the Deutsches Museum. At each stop they could earn points — by solving puzzles correctly, putting team challenges into creative practice, or cleverly combining small clues. This created exactly what matters in every team building experience in Old Town: collaboration, communication, and shared joy in success.
During the roughly three-hour tour the teams were on their own and competed amicably for the most points. I stayed reachable by phone the whole time and was able to help quickly with questions or technical issues. The varied tasks called for different strengths and left room for creative solutions — ideal for making team dynamics visible and stronger.
After about three hours everyone met back at Max-Joseph-Platz for the award ceremony. The atmosphere on return was celebratory: teams swapped anecdotes, laughed about tricky moments, and enjoyed the points they had earned. It is precisely these positive experiences that make Geocaching a fantastic idea for a team building experience in Old Town.
It was a pleasure to guide Florio GmbH through this interactive city discovery. Anyone looking to experience Old Town in a new way can combine sightseeing, play, and team spirit at an event like this — and at the end take home not just points, but real shared memories.
