On 26 July 2023 at 5:00 PM I, as a CityHunters team guide, met the 19 participants from Carl Zeiss Vision International GmbH at the Limesmuseum Aalen on Sankt-Johann-Straße to welcome them and introduce them to our iPad Tour. After a short briefing on the CityHunters app and the iPads, the colleagues were split into three teams. Then the high-tech Scavenger Hunt through Aalen began.
The teams explored the city on their own, heading to well-known sites such as the Kastell Aalen, the Stadtkirche Aalen and the Urweltmuseum. At various stations challenging puzzles and creative team tasks awaited, allowing them to earn points. The mix of technology, observation and teamwork produced many Aha moments and loud bursts of joy during the tasks – exactly what makes a team building experience in Aalen so special.
During the tour I was reachable by phone and provided support when needed, but deliberately gave the groups space for their own strategies and team dynamics. The weather was on our side, with pleasant temperatures helping to keep spirits high. The teams engaged in a fair competition for the highest score – pure motivation and a clear focus on shared fun.
After exactly two hours we met again at the Limesmuseum for the award ceremony. The atmosphere was jubilant, the winners were celebrated, and all participants left with a noticeably strengthened sense of togetherness. Moments like these show that a team building experience in Aalen connects colleagues in a modern, interactive way.
