Team Building Event Bäckerei Peter Schmitt GmbH
Our Geocaching event combines city exploration, puzzle fun and team competition into an active experience — exactly what the colleagues from Bäckerei Peter Schmitt GmbH experienced on July 16, 2023 at their team building event. As the team guide I greeted the group at 10:00 AM at the Tourist Information at Schloss Geyerswoerth and gave a brief introduction to the schedule and the app.
Twelve participants were split into three teams and equipped with tablets with the CityHunters app preinstalled. After a short briefing the tour began: each team set off independently to collect points for correctly solved puzzles and joint team challenges. I remained available by phone throughout the tour in case of questions or technical issues.
The weather cooperated, the mood was great and the city showed its best side — ideal conditions for a true team building experience in Bamberg. The route led the teams to beautiful spots and sights; stops such as Bamberg Cathedral, the Old Town Hall and the Benedictine Monastery on Michelsberg provided moments of awe and plenty of opportunities for group photos.
It was especially rewarding to see how communication and collaboration developed within the teams: from focused deliberation to creative problem solving to loud cheers after successful tasks. That is exactly what makes a team building experience in Bamberg so valuable — strengthening skills playfully and celebrating successes together.
After three hours all teams met again at the Tourist Information at Schloss Geyerswoerth for the joint award ceremony. When tallying the points it became clear how close and exciting the competition had been. Fun was of course the priority, but the joy over the small victories and the shared time was clearly noticeable.
As a team guide it was hugely rewarding to see how the event brought people together and created lasting moments.
